KitchenAid Repair With a Straight Answer
When a KitchenAid appliance quits, the kitchen stops working the way you planned it. You shouldn't have to guess whether fixing it makes sense.
At BA Appliance Repair Service, we'd rather keep a customer for years than win one large invoice. That is why a KitchenAid visit starts with an explanation and not a sales pitch. The technician tells you which part failed, what it does, and what the labor and materials will cost. Sometimes the honest answer is that the repair isn't worth it. A dishwasher is the least expensive appliance we service, so the math on one can be close. We have been family owned in Cincinnati since 2006, we repair 15 brands including KitchenAid, and all six of our technicians are BA employees.

KitchenAid Appliances We Work On
From the dishwasher to the range, here is where KitchenAid repairs usually land and how we approach each one.
KitchenAid Dishwasher Repair
A KitchenAid dishwasher that finishes with water in the tub has a problem at the drain pump, the impeller, or the drain line. One that leaves food stuck to the plates needs its circulation pump cleared or a cracked spray arm replaced. If the dishes are clean but wet, that may be normal. Drying is the weakest thing any dishwasher does, especially on plastic, so try a drying product such as JetDry before calling. We'll price any repair first so you can weigh it against the machine. KitchenAid Refrigerator Repair
Produce freezing in the fresh food drawers of a KitchenAid refrigerator sends us to the evaporator fan, the temperature sensor, or the control board. On an older unit it can be the cold control. If the freezer walls are caked in ice, check the door first, because a gasket that isn't seating is the usual cause. A control panel that has gone completely dark is generally a board or interface problem, and that is a repair worth making. Read about refrigerator repair.
KitchenAid Oven & Stove Top Repair
If your KitchenAid oven runs but food comes out underdone, the temperature sensor may be off. It's a long bar probe inside the oven, and replacing it takes some disassembly. An oven with no heat at all is usually the bake element on electric models and the bake igniter on gas. When the buttons or display stop responding, we look at the control board. For burners that won't heat or light, visit stove top repair. For everything inside the oven, visit oven repair.
KitchenAid Washer Repair
Have a KitchenAid washer? We repair those as well. A tub that won't drain needs a drain pump. Shaking that stops the spin early comes from suspension rods, dampers, or the spin switch they trip. A washer that travels across the floor during spin is often only out of level, and we correct that with air jack pumps instead of parts. Our washer repair page explains the rest.
KitchenAid Dryer Repair
KitchenAid dryers come to us for the same reasons other dryers do. Noise means rollers, an idler pulley, or a belt. No heat means the element or the gas coils. A drum that sits still points to the motor or the start switch, and a dryer that runs too hot may have lint packed inside it or a grounded wire in the heating element. There's more under dryer repair.
Not Sure It's Worth Fixing?

KitchenAid Repair Costs, Up Front
Honest pricing. No surprise fees. The service call for a KitchenAid dishwasher, refrigerator, range, cooktop, washer or dryer is $125. For a KitchenAid wall oven it is $145, since the oven is built in and has to be pulled out of the wall to be diagnosed. That fee covers finding the problem. The repair itself is quoted as its own line once we know what your appliance needs.

KitchenAid Repair Questions
Is a KitchenAid dishwasher worth repairing?+
It depends on what failed. Clearing a clogged circulation pump or fixing a float switch can be a simple job. Other failures cost enough that replacing the dishwasher is the smarter move. We give you the repair price and our honest read, and you choose.
How much do you charge to diagnose a KitchenAid?+
$125 for the service call, or $145 if it's a wall oven. That is the diagnostic fee. Labor and materials are quoted separately after the diagnosis.
Why is the service call higher for a KitchenAid wall oven?+
A wall oven is built in. It is harder to diagnose than a range, and it has to be pulled out of the wall first. That's the reason the service call is $145 and not $125.
My KitchenAid refrigerator is running but both sides are warm. Now what?+
Call us before booking. With the lights on and both compartments warm, there's about a 75% chance the sealed system has failed. On most home refrigerators that isn't a cost-effective repair, and we don't want to charge you a service call to deliver that news. The exception is a high-end built-in refrigerator, where the repair can still make sense. If the control panel is completely dark instead, that's usually a repair worth making.
Does the repair come with a warranty?+
Yes. Our service is warrantied for 90 days and so are the materials we install.
I started taking my KitchenAid apart. Can you finish the repair?+
Possibly, but call before going further. Once a machine is disassembled, we often can't reproduce the original complaint or tell what has changed, and we can't put a warranty on the work.
