There's one washer failure we'll talk you out of before you ever book a visit: a front-load rear bearing that's gone. You'll know it. It sounds like a train running through your house, banging violently and loud. Fixing that means rebuilding basically the whole machine, and you'd end up upside down, spending about three times what a new washer costs. If you describe those symptoms on the phone, we'll be straight with you and point you toward a replacement.

Not Draining
Usually shows up as the cycle stopping partway through with a tub full of water. Most often it's the drain pump.
Shaking, Rattling, or Won't Finish the Spin
This one needs real diagnosis. It can be worn suspension rods letting the tub swing off balance and trip the spin switch, the spin switch itself, or bad dampers.
The Machine Walks Across the Floor
Nine times out of ten this is just an off-balance leveling issue. We jack the machine up with air jack pumps and level the feet. No parts, no big repair.
Won't Fill, So It Won't Start
Typically a pressure switch or pressure sensor that isn't reading the water level, so the machine never calls for a fill. That means getting into the top and sometimes pulling the tub. Occasionally it's the water valve, though that's rarer since it's a stationary part. On older mechanical models that won't advance, spin, or drain, the timer is often the culprit. It's the brain of a mechanical machine the way a control board is on a modern one.
When It's Not Worth Repairing
A front-load rear bearing that's gone sounds like a train running through your house, banging violently and loud. It's pretty indistinguishable once it happens. Fixing that means rebuilding basically the whole machine, and you'd end up upside down, spending about three times what a new washer costs. We won't let you pay a diagnostic fee to be told that in person. If you describe those symptoms on the phone, we'll point you toward a replacement. Most other washer problems, a drain pump, pressure switch, suspension rods, or a simple leveling fix, are cost-effective.

What is the most common problem with a washing machine?+
The calls we get most are washers that shake or won't finish the spin cycle and washers that stop mid-cycle with a tub full of water. The first is usually suspension rods, a spin switch, or dampers. The second is almost always a drain pump. Both are routine, cost-effective repairs.
How fast can you get out to fix my washer?+
We schedule morning or afternoon blocks and call or text 30 minutes before we arrive. Our whole model is built on doing the repair right per visit, not racing across town. We fix the machine on the first visit about 80% of the time, and if a part has to be ordered, there's no charge for the return trip.
What's your warranty, and is there a return-trip fee?+
Every repair carries 90 days on the labor and 90 days on the materials, in house. If we have to order a part and come back to install it, that follow-up visit is free. No second trip fee. We actually encourage you to run the repaired washer hard during that warranty window so if anything's off, we catch it and take care of it.
