Older Kenmore washers are mechanical, and a mechanical washer lives or dies by its timer. A cycle that halts midway usually means the timer has failed. On any Kenmore, a load that comes out dripping because the spin never finished may have weak suspension rods, worn dampers, or a bad spin switch. A Kenmore dryer that has started to squeal or thump has a drum roller, an idler pulley, or a belt wearing out. A dryer that overheats may have lint built up inside the machine or a grounded wire in the heating element, and we either repair the wire or replace the element. A Kenmore range gives us two kinds of calls. The first is the oven: it won't heat, and the bake element or the gas bake igniter has failed.
