Maytag Washer Repair
An older Maytag washer with a mechanical dial depends on its timer, the brain of the machine. When a cycle quits partway through, in fill, wash or spin, the timer is our first suspect. On newer models, a tub that won't fill usually traces to the pressure sensor and less often to the water valve. A washer that won't empty needs a drain pump. Maytag Dryer Repair
Thumping and squealing are the complaints we hear most about dryers, Maytag included. The cause is a worn drum roller, the idler pulley, or the belt. Certain models skip rollers entirely and let the drum glide on felt seals. If the dryer won't start at all, the door switch or the operating thermostat is the likely failure. Maytag Dishwasher Repair
A Maytag dishwasher that won't take in water often has a stuck float switch. Where we can, we repair the switch without a part. Otherwise we replace it or the sensor. Maytag Refrigerator Repair
Water leaking into the fresh food section of a Maytag refrigerator is a defrost drain problem. The technician removes the back panel, clears the drain line, and runs a snake down it to confirm nothing is left. No new part is needed most of the time. Maytag Oven & Stove Top Repair
On a Maytag electric range, a burner that stays cold has a bad surface element, a bad switch behind the knob, or a short between them. Once in a while the wiring harness that joins them has burned up. A gas oven with no heat comes down to the bake igniter in most cases. Honest pricing. No surprise fees. Diagnosing a Maytag washer, dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, range or cooktop is a $125 service call. A Maytag wall oven is $145, the higher rate for a built-in unit that must come out of the wall. You won't see the diagnostic folded into the labor. Each has its own line on the invoice.

What is the service call for a Maytag washer or dryer?+
$125. That is the diagnostic charge. If you approve the repair, labor and materials are added as separate lines, and you see the total before we begin.
Should I go easy on my Maytag after the repair?+
No, the opposite. For 90 days the service and the materials are both under warranty. We encourage you to run a repaired washer or dryer hard during that time, so that if the new part has a problem it shows up while it's covered. Refrigerators are the one exception.
My Maytag dryer runs but the clothes stay damp. Is the dryer broken?+
Here is how to tell. If the dryer gets hot, tumbles, and finishes the cycle, and the clothes come out warm but not dry, the vent is very likely the issue. If they come out cold and sopping wet, the dryer needs a repair. We repair dryers. We don't clean vent runs.
Is summer a hard time to schedule a Maytag repair?+
Summer is our busier season, partly because families do more laundry. We still schedule in morning and afternoon blocks Monday through Friday, and the office will look at the schedule with you when you call.
Do you repair older Maytag washers?+
Yes. On an older mechanical Maytag, the timer controls every stage of the cycle, and replacing it is a repair we make. The technician will give you the cost first so you can decide whether it makes sense for the machine.
