Electric oven not heating
The bulk of the time it's the bake element, the one that gets used most. Whether it's hidden or exposed decides how much of the oven we have to take apart to reach it.
Gas oven not heating
About 8 times out of 10 it's the bake igniter. An igniter can glow red and still not work, which we call a false glow, so a glow alone doesn't mean it can open the gas valve.
Wall ovens
A wall oven is built in, harder to diagnose, and has to be pulled out of the wall, so the service call is $145 instead of $125.
Cooktop burners
On electric, usually the surface element or the switch behind the knob. On gas, the surface igniter or its wire harness.

He took the time to explain general oven mechanics as well as the specific issue with our oven not heating, yet managed to be in and out within 1 hour! I called and spoke to David and he was so helpful and honest! I had an older dryer I wanted to get repaired and he advised me to get a new one. He explained that once you replace an old part with a new part other parts might go bad and that the average repair cost is close to purchasing a new one at my lower price point!
