Why the Oven Won't Heat.
Ovens are usually fixable. These are the usual causes.
Electric, no heat at all
Most often the bake element. Some are exposed and easy to reach. Others are hidden, and the oven has to be pulled out to get the back panel off.
Heats, but never gets to temperature
The temperature sensor, a long bar probe inside the oven, is the likely cause. Replacing it takes some disassembly.
Gas oven that won't fire
Eight times out of ten the bake igniter. Otherwise the regulator.
Controls acting up
When the display or buttons misbehave, the control board may have failed. We open the panel and replace the board.
